Un mazzo che si concentra su strategie aggressive e mira a chiudere rapidamente le partite beneficerebbe dall'inclusione di Demonic Dread, in quanto fornisce un modo per interrompere le difese dell'avversario impedendo a una creatura chiave di bloccare. Tuttavia, in termini di efficienza e impatto, alcuni potrebbero sostenere che una carta come Violent Outburst potrebbe essere una scelta migliore grazie alla sua capacità di concedere a tutte le creature la rapidità oltre al cascading, potenzialmente fornendo una presenza a tavola più immediata e potente. Se Demonic Dread dovrebbe essere giocato dipende in definitiva dalla strategia specifica e dalle sinergie del mazzo in cui è incluso, così come dal contesto complessivo del metagame.
