Brand could be a valuable addition to a red control deck aiming to disrupt the opponent's board state while maintaining control of their own permanents. However, in competitive Magic: the Gathering, the card Confiscate may be considered a better option as it allows you to gain control of a single permanent without the restriction of only controlling permanents you own. Brand could see play in specific casual or themed decks where its unique effect can be maximized for fun and creative strategies.
