Een molendek dat zich richt op het snel en efficiënt vullen van het kerkhof zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Deranged Assistant, omdat het een consistente bron van kleurloze mana biedt en tegelijkertijd de kerkhofstrategie voedt. Er zijn echter betere kaarten voor het vullen van mana-rampen en kerkhoven, zoals Hedron Crab of Stitcher's Supplier, die meer waarde bieden in termen van frezen en kaartvoordeel. Deranged Assistant zou kunnen worden gespeeld in budgetmill-decks of als een aanvullende kaart in een op kerkhoven gerichte strategie, maar is misschien geen topkeuze in meer competitieve decks.
