Dramatic Reversal is een sleutelkaart in decks die zich richten op het genereren van mana met mana-stenen, omdat het alle niet-land-permanentes kan ontsluiten en mogelijk oneindige mana-loops kan creëren met kaarten zoals Isochron Scepter. Het is echter mogelijk dat dit niet in alle kaartspellen optimaal is, afhankelijk van de strategie.
