About Grim Initiate

Grim Initiate, Creature — zombie warrior, designed by Jason Felix first released in Apr, 2019 in the set War of the Spark. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.08.

This card would fit well in a red aggressive deck looking to apply early pressure with its first strike ability and potentially create a Zombie Army token upon death for additional board presence. While Grim Initiate is a solid inclusion for its mana cost, there are potentially better options like Dreadhorde Butcher, which offers a similar aggressive start with more potential for damage output. However, Grim Initiate could still see play in decks looking to synergize with amass mechanics or needing additional early-game threats.

Army is a new creature type. It’s possible to control a nontoken Army (perhaps a creature with the changeling ability) and, through combinations of other cards, it’s possible to control multiple Army tokens. When instructed to amass, you may put +1/+1 counters on any of your Army creatures, and you may choose a different one each time.
