Een kaartspel dat zich richt op het frezen van de bibliotheek van de tegenstander zou baat hebben bij het opnemen van Jace, Memory Adept, omdat zijn vaardigheden het freesproces helpen versnellen en tegelijkertijd kaartvoordeel opleveren. Er zijn echter betere molenkaarten beschikbaar in Magic: the Gathering, zoals Jace, Wielder of Mysteries of Ashiok, Dream Render, die efficiëntere molenstrategieën of ontwrichtende effecten bieden. Jace, Memory Adept zou spel in casual of budget mill-decks kunnen zien, maar is misschien niet de optimale keuze voor competitief spel.
