This card, Overmaster, would be beneficial in a deck that relies heavily on casting powerful instant or sorcery spells that you want to ensure resolve successfully, such as combo or control decks. While Overmaster is a solid card for protecting your key spells from being countered, some may argue that Veil of Summer or Vexing Shusher could be better options due to their additional abilities to protect against other types of interaction. However, Overmaster could still see play in specific metagames or strategies where its unique effect is particularly valuable.
