About Platinum Emperion

Platinum Emperion, Artifact creature — golem, designed by Chris Rahn first released in May, 2020 in the set Scars of Mirrodin and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 18.68. It's a key card in 2 combos.

A deck that benefits from Platinum Emperion is a control deck looking to lock down the game and protect its life total. This card can be particularly useful against aggressive decks that rely on dealing damage quickly. While Platinum Emperion can be a strong choice in certain metagames, it may not always be the best option depending on the current state of the game. Other cards like Platinum Angel or Sphinx of the Steel Wind may offer similar effects with additional benefits, so it's important to consider the overall strategy and synergy of the deck before including Platinum Emperion in the decklist.

Rules

12/07/18

Effects that replace an event with having you gain life (like Words of Worship’s effect does) or having you lose life will end up replacing the event with nothing.

12/07/18

If a cost would include causing you to gain life (like the alternative cost of an opponent’s Invigorate does), that cost can’t be paid.

12/07/18

If an effect would cause you to exchange life totals with another player, the exchange won’t happen. Neither player’s life total changes.

12/07/18

Platinum Emperion’s ability doesn’t prevent damage. Rather, it changes the results of that damage. For example, if a creature with lifelink deals damage to you, you won’t lose any life, but its controller will still gain that much life. Similarly, if a creature you control with lifelink deals damage to another player, that player will lose life but you won’t gain any life.

12/07/18

Spells and abilities that would normally cause you to gain or lose life still resolve, but the life-gain or life-loss part simply has no effect.
