About Charitable Levy

Charitable Levy, Enchantment, designed by Eli Minaya first released in May 2024 in the set Modern Horizons 3 and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of $ 0.01.

Charitable Levy would be beneficial in a control deck that aims to slow down the opponent's noncreature spells while gaining card advantage and ramping up mana with the potential to search for a Plains card. However, there are better options like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben or Eidolon of Rhetoric that have a similar effect but are more impactful in disrupting the opponent's game plan. Charitable Levy could see play in a budget deck or as a fun, casual inclusion, but for competitive play, there are stronger alternatives available.

Charitable Levy's triggered ability resolves before the spell that causes it to trigger. The ability will resolve even if that spell is countered or otherwise leaves the stack.

In the rare case where the player who controlled Charitable Levy as its last ability triggered doesn't control it as it resolves, that player won't be able to sacrifice Charitable Levy even if it has three or more collection counters on it.

To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost you're paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The mana value of the spell remains unchanged, no matter what the total cost to cast it was.
