This card would benefit a white-based control deck that focuses on creature removal and board control. While Collective Effort offers versatility with its multiple modes, there are more efficient options available such as Swords to Plowshares or Path to Exile for creature removal, and Disenchant for enchantment removal. While Collective Effort could see play in certain situations, it may not be the most optimal choice for competitive decks due to its higher mana cost and conditional effects.
