This card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on creating and boosting high-power creatures, such as a green-white aggro deck or a ramp deck. However, there are better options available, such as Rhox Faithmender which doubles the life gained, making it more impactful in gaining life. While Dogsnail Engine can be fun and flavorful, it may not see competitive play due to its limited effect compared to other cards available.
