About Emergency Powers

Emergency Powers, Instant, designed by Chris Rallis first released in December 2018 in the set Ravnica Allegiance and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of $ 0.91.

A control or combo deck that aims to reset the game and draw into key pieces would benefit from Emergency Powers in Magic: the Gathering. While Emergency Powers can provide a powerful reset and card advantage, it may be overshadowed by other options like Time Spiral or Time Reversal for similar effects, making it less likely to see play in competitive formats unless a specific synergy or strategy emerges that leverages its unique abilities effectively.

Rules

01/12/2024

Addendum abilities of instant spells apply while the spell is resolving, not immediately after casting it. If the spell is countered, you don't get the addendum bonus.

01/12/2024

If an effect copies a spell with an addendum ability while it's on the stack, the copy wasn't cast at all, so you won't get the addendum bonus.

01/25/2019

If a card in your hand has {X} in its mana cost, X is considered to be 0.
