This card, Farewell, could benefit a control deck looking to clear the board of multiple types of threats at once. However, there are more efficient options available, such as Cleansing Nova which allows for a more flexible choice between destroying artifacts or creatures. Farewell may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to its high cost and the availability of better alternatives.
