Furyborn Hellkite fits best in aggressive red or red-based midrange decks that can reliably deal damage before casting it—especially Gruul, Rakdos, or Temur shells using cheap creatures, burn spells, and haste threats—because Bloodthirst turns it into a huge 12/12 flying finisher. However, seven mana is a major drawback, and the card is generally outclassed by more efficient Dragons and finishers: **Glorybringer** is much cheaper and immediately removes creatures, **Thundermaw Hellkite** has haste and impacts the board right away, **Terror of the Peaks** provides immediate damage value, and **Goldspan Dragon** generates mana while attacking. It can be a fun inclusion in casual Bloodthirst, Dragon-tribal, or battle-cruiser Commander decks, particularly where enabling damage is easy, but it is usually not strong enough for competitive Constructed play and is only a niche Commander choice unless your deck specifically wants very large counter-based creatures.
