About Grim Repriser

Grim Repriser, Creature — zombie bard, designed by Wayne Reynolds first released in September 2026 in the set Reality Fracture. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of $ 0.01.

Grim Repriser would best fit a Rakdos spells-or-burn deck that regularly casts cheap noncreature spells and deals noncombat damage to opponents, such as a Prowess, sacrifice, or Commander “ping” strategy; the recursion can provide a repeatable threat, but requiring an opponent to have taken noncombat damage that turn and paying `{B}{R}` makes it conditional and mana-intensive, while the finality counter means it only returns once. Without its power and toughness or a specified format, it is difficult to judge precisely, but in most competitive formats it would likely be outclassed by more efficient threats such as Monastery Swiftspear or Soul-Scar Mage for prowess/burn decks, Bloodghast for reliable graveyard recursion, and Dreadhorde Arcanist for spell-based value; it could be enjoyable in casual Rakdos Commander decks built around burn and graveyard synergies, but it probably should not see serious constructed play unless its stats, creature type, or additional abilities are unusuall

Rules

08/21/2026

Grim Repriser doesn't need to have been in your graveyard at the time the damage was dealt. For example, if you cast a spell that deals damage to an opponent before combat, then Grim Repriser dies due to combat damage, you can activate its ability the same turn.
