Heartstring Puller would fit best in red-based creature-token, go-wide aggro, sacrifice/aristocrats, or blink/ETB decks, with Elf tribal being a minor bonus if the deck can support red; creating a 2/2 alongside its own body gives it reasonable board presence and makes it useful against single-target removal. Its strength depends heavily on its missing power and toughness: at 3/3 or larger, four mana for at least five power across two bodies is likely playable in Limited and possibly casual Commander, while a small body such as 2/2 would be underpowered. In more competitive token decks, Pia and Kiran Nalaar is generally better because it makes two evasive Thopters and provides sacrifice utility, while Hordeling Outburst is better when the goal is simply to produce multiple bodies cheaply; Siege-Gang Commander is also a much stronger top-end token maker.
