Hidden Hideout would fit best in a Commander deck that consistently puts counters on its creatures and cares about incremental value, such as +1/+1 counter decks (e.g., Atraxa, Shalai and Hallar, Hamza), experience counter decks, or even strategies using shield, oil, or other counter types; the lifelink activation can swing races when placed on a large, evasive, or trampling creature.
