Homesickness is a classic blue tempo/control tool, so it would fit best in a control or tempo deck that wants to slow the opponent down while gaining incremental advantage—especially a mid‑to‑late game blue deck that can afford a six‑mana play and cares about tapping down key attackers to stabilize. However, at **4UU**, this is likely too expensive for competitive play: drawing two cards is normally worth around three mana (like *Divination*), and tapping creatures with stun counters is useful but not typically worth another three mana at sorcery speed unless it swings the game dramatically. Compared to alternatives, *Cryptic Command* is far stronger (counter/draw/tap/bounce at instant speed for four mana), *Sleep* can lock down an entire board for four mana in aggressive blue shells, and *Frost Titan* or *Icefall Regent* provide repeatable tap effects attached to meaningful threats.
