About Mournwillow

Mournwillow, Creature — plant skeleton, designed by Jeff Simpson first released in May, 2020 in the set Eldritch Moon and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of $ 0.35.

A deck that focuses on filling the graveyard with various card types would benefit from using Mournwillow, particularly in a Golgari (black-green) midrange or graveyard-based strategy. While Mournwillow's ability to prevent creatures with power 2 or less from blocking can be situationally powerful, there are potentially better cards for similar effects depending on the specific deck's strategy, such as Plague Stinger for infect decks or Glistener Elf for aggressive strategies. Ultimately, Mournwillow could see play in certain niche decks that can consistently enable delirium and capitalize on its unique ability.
