About Multi-Headed
Multi-Headed, Creature — hydra, designed by YW Tang first released in Dec, 2017 in the set Unstable. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of $ 0.35.
Multi-Headed would fit well in a deck that focuses on dice-rolling mechanics, such as a dice or random theme deck, leveraging cards that benefit from randomness to maximize its potential. While there are other cards that can synergize with dice-rolling, such as Chaos Wand or Fate Spinner, the effectiveness of Multi-Headed largely depends on the overall strategy and synergy of the deck. If the deck can effectively utilize the augment mechanic and consistently roll dice, it could see play, but it may not be as impactful as more straightforward win conditions or powerful creatures. Ultimately, its inclusion would depend on the specific build and the meta environment.
Rules
01/19/18
Augment can (and usually does) change the name, card types, subtypes, rules text, and power/toughness. The combined creature will have (at least) two artists and may now have multiple colors. Anything covered up in the augment process doesn’t count, so ignore things to the left of the “metal bar” in the art of host creatures.
01/19/18
Creatures with augment don’t have a mana cost and can’t be cast.
01/19/18
The creature card with augment isn’t put onto the battlefield until the ability resolves. This means if the host is destroyed, the creature with augment stays in your hand. You can’t choose a different host, but you can activate augment again if there’s another host available.
01/19/18
You can’t put more than one augment card on a single host creature. Once a host creature is augmented, the host part gets covered up and it’s no longer a host creature.
