A control deck focused on dealing with attacking creatures would benefit from including Pit Trap in their deck, as it provides a cost-effective way to remove threats efficiently. While there may be better removal options available in the Magic: the Gathering card pool, Pit Trap's ability to take out attackers without flying at a relatively low cost makes it a solid inclusion in a deck looking to control the board. Whether or not it sees play will depend on the specific metagame and deck strategy, but it certainly has its place in certain matchups.
