About Planequake Playtest

Planequake Playtest, Sorcery, designed by Chris Kiritz first released in Nov, 2019 in the set Mystery Booster Playtest Cards 2019 and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

A deck that focuses on aggressive red strategies and aims to control the board by dealing direct damage to creatures and planeswalkers would benefit from including Planequake Playtest. However, while Planequake can be a powerful board wipe in the right circumstances, its effectiveness may be limited by its high mana cost and the requirement to deal 10 or more damage to trigger the plot booster. Players may find more consistent and versatile options in cards like Anger of the Gods or Chandra's Pyrohelix, which offer similar effects at a lower cost. Overall, Planequake Playtest could be a situational inclusion in specific decks, but may not see widespread play in competitive Magic: the Gathering formats.

Rules

11/12/19
