Asgardian Citadel, Land, designed by Paulius Daščioras first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Marvel Super Heroes.
Asgardian Citadel would fit best in a slower Boros (red‑white) deck that values incremental life gain and doesn’t mind lands entering tapped—such as casual midrange, lifegain-synergy builds, or budget Commander decks—since aggressive Boros strategies generally can’t afford tempo loss from tapped lands. However, there are many stronger alternatives: **Sacred Foundry** (untapped at the cost of life), **Clifftop Retreat**, **Inspiring Vantage**, **Battlefield Forge**, **Sundown Pass**, and **Needleverge Pathway** all provide red‑white mana with significantly less downside, making them better in most competitive formats. Even **Wind-Scarred Crag** is nearly identical but already established as a budget option, meaning Asgardian Citadel would mainly be redundant unless redundancy is desired. Overall, this card would be fine in very casual or budget settings but is unlikely to see serious competitive play due to entering tapped with only minimal upside.
