Skyclave Shade would be a good fit in a black aggro or midrange deck that aims to apply pressure early on and take advantage of landfall triggers. While its inability to block may be a downside, its ability to return from the graveyard and potentially enter with additional +1/+1 counters makes it a versatile threat. However, there may be better options such as Bloodghast or Gravecrawler that offer more consistent value and synergies in graveyard-based strategies, so Skyclave Shade may not see widespread play in competitive decks.

After you cast Skyclave Shade from your graveyard, it’s considered a new object, and the permission from its landfall ability won’t apply to it again even if it returns to your graveyard later in the turn.
