Socketed Sprocketer, Artifact creature — cyborg knight, designed by David Sladek first released in May, 2020 in the set Unstable. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of $ 0.35.
Socketed Sprocketer would fit well in a blue control or combo deck that values card draw and manipulation, as its ability to uninstall and roll a die can provide consistent card advantage and flexibility in gameplay. However, there are arguably more efficient options for card draw, such as Brainstorm or Ponder, which offer immediate value without the randomness of a die roll. While Socketed Sprocketer has a unique mechanic that could be fun and interesting in casual or thematic decks, its reliance on luck and the potential for underperformance compared to more reliable card draw options might limit its competitiveness in more serious play.

The first ability lets you roll a six-sided die and put that result on Socketed Sprocketer. This basically saves that result for later use. Say you roll a 5. Put the die on Socketed Sprocketer with the 5 face up. Later in the game, when you roll another die, you can choose to use the 5 instead of the result. (You’ll see the result before having to decide.) If you have a 6 installed on Socketed Sprocket, you can just uninstall it to draw a card. If you do this, the 6 is gone and can’t be used to replace a future die roll.
