Squeeze would be beneficial in a control or tempo deck that aims to slow down the game and disrupt opponents' strategies, particularly against spell-heavy decks that rely on casting multiple sorceries. While there are other cards that can achieve similar effects, such as Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, which increases the cost of noncreature spells, Squeeze specifically targets sorceries, making it more niche. However, its effectiveness largely depends on the metagame; if sorcery-heavy decks are prevalent, it could see play, but in a more diverse environment, it may be outclassed by more versatile options.
