Danish player Christoff Larsen (Dimir Excruciator) is the champion of Pro Tour Lorwyn Eclipsed, the first high-level competitive Magic: The Gathering event of 2026. He won the trophy and title after defeating Croatian Toni Portolan (Temur Mightform) 3-2.

Larsen reached the Top 8 in eighth place, advancing to the third day of the Pro Tour through the tiebreakers. He defeated Fernando Sanchez (Izzet Lessons) in the quarterfinals even after losing the first game by holding a land. Next, Christoffer won against Eduardo Sajgalik (Izzet Elementals) to reach the finals.
The match between Portolan and Larsen was defined by explosive game plans and a lot of interaction. Using a Mightform Harmonizer list, Toni managed to recover from a practically lost Game 4, but the combination of Deceit and Superior Spider-Man with removals proved too disruptive in the last game, crowning Christoffer with the title.
The Top 8 of Pro Tour Lorwyn Eclipsed and the results of Day 2 of the event show a change of direction in Standard.
Previously, the collective belief was that Badgermole Cub and Nature's Rhythm decklists would dominate the event after comprising over 33% of the tournament's overall Metagame and with the precedents set at the US Regional Championship.
The event demonstrated that these archetypes performed poorly on Day 1, showing that counterplays exist—one of which, in fact, seems to be what made Temur Harmonizer and Dimir Excruciator the decks of the Pro Tour final: the ability to invalidate the opponent's game progress through a combo.
