About Torrent of Stone

Torrent of Stone, Instant — arcane, designed by Greg Staples first released in May, 2020 in the set Betrayers of Kamigawa and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of $ 0.02.

A red aggressive deck in Magic: the Gathering would benefit from including Torrent of Stone, as it provides efficient removal for a low cost. However, there are better options available such as Lightning Bolt or Burst Lightning, which offer more versatility and can target players as well. While Torrent of Stone can be situationally useful with its splice ability, it may not be a top choice for competitive play unless the deck specifically focuses on Arcane spells.

A card with a splice ability can’t be spliced onto itself because the spell is on the stack (and not in your hand) when you reveal the cards you want to splice onto it.
