Torture, Enchantment — aura, designed by Mark Tedin first released in Oct, 1995 in the set Homelands and was printed exactly in 5 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 0.70.
A deck that focuses on -1/-1 counters and debuffing opponents' creatures would benefit from including Torture in their strategy, particularly in a black-based control deck. While Torture can be effective in certain situations, there are more versatile and impactful cards like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons or Nest of Scarabs that provide additional value and synergy with -1/-1 counters. Overall, Torture may not see widespread play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its limited impact compared to other options available.

The -1/-1 counters that are put on the enchanted creature are independent of Torture. If Torture leaves the battlefield or is moved to another creature, the counters will stay put.
