Wizards of the Coast presented new previews of upcoming Magic: The Gathering expansions at its panel during MagicCon Chicago.
The panel revealed new cards from Outlaws of Thunder Junction, the future of some Planeswalkers that will be in Bloomburrow, as well as a first impression and info about cards and themes for eternal format sets - Assassin's Creed and Modern Horizons 3.
Check out the main details below!
Bloomburrow
The first expansion revealed was Bloomburrow, in a plane where humans don't exist, and small animals are at war against large elementals. The set will have ten two-color combinations based on each creature type.

Planeswalkers and other beings who travel there become animals - among them are Jace and Ral Zarek.
Universes Beyond: Assassin's Creed
Universes Beyond: Assassin's Creed will be a mini-set with 100 Modern legal cards - 80 new and 20 reprints.
These cards depict iconic items and characters from the Assassin's Creed franchise, in addition to having special scene treatments first seen in Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth. The set also features serialized cards of iconic characters from the series - all translated into that character's mother tongue.
Assassin's Creed will be the first Magic expansion to use Beyond Boosters, similar to the Epilogue Boosters from March of the Machine: Aftermath.
Modern Horizons 3
Modern Horizons 3 marks the return of some well-known mechanics from the game's history with new elements and/or faces.
Among them are the Two-Faced Planeswalkers, with Ajani and Tamiyo, Eldrazi with new variants of the famous colossal creatures, in addition to the return of Energy last seen in the Kaladesh block in 2017. Free Spells also returns, with a new condition: sacrifice a non-token creature of the same color as the spell - Allied Fetch lands also returns with new reprints!

The set also brings new variants of well-known cards from the game's history, and the reprint of Legacy staples that enter Modern for the first time!
Outlaws of Thunder Junction
Outlaws of Thunder Junction brings the return of the planeswalker Oko to Magic, where the villain seeks to steal the treasure in the center of Thunder Junction. He unites a group of infamous villains from the Magic multiverse: Vraska, Rakdos, Tinybones and Annie Flash, as well as his son, Kellan.
The expansion features the Crime mechanic - any spell or ability you control that targets an opponent, spell, or permanent they control is considered a crime. All cards in the Boosters' "bonus sheet" will be spells that commit crimes. They don't enter Standard, but are legal in any format where their original print run is.
The cards that would be included in the expansion's "Epilogue boosters" replace "The List" in Outlaws of Thunder Junction. It will have 40 new cards on this slot, all Standard-legal!
