Henchbots would fit best in a midrange or tempo-based artifact deck that wants repeatable removal attached to a body, especially in formats where artifact synergies (like affinity-style builds, improvise shells, or decks leveraging artifact recursion/blink effects) can maximize its value; it’s particularly appealing in slower limited environments or synergy-driven Commander decks that can flicker it to repeatedly exile threats. However, at four mana and only hitting tapped creatures, it’s fairly conditional and competes poorly with stronger options like **Skyclave Apparition** (cheaper and hits any nonland permanent with mana value 4 or less), **Banisher Priest** or **Brutal Cathar** (less restrictive targeting), and especially **Solitude** or **Leyline Binding** in higher-powered formats, which offer more flexibility or efficiency.
