Introduction

Now that they've released all the spoilers for Dominaria Remasteredlink outside website, full of cool reprints, we can see what's most interesting!

It's good to remember that the set will only be released in March 2023. In this article, I separated 10 good reprints of the set for Commander, but I will make honorable mention to good cards that didn't have reprints yet.

Honorable Mentions

Elvish Spirit-Guide

This card was expensive and will probably see a good decline in its price tag.

It's an elf, but it works more like a mini ritual, and so it's not played in casual. However, this is its first reprint, and it will help the competitive Commander players.

Gamble

This card is very useful in decks that manage to use the graveyard and is the best of the red tutors available, but there aren't so many red tutors, right?

In addition, its negative side can be positive in madness and reanimation decks, since you discard a card, whether it is the tutored card. It can be an interesting option for chaos decks (even though chaos decks usually don't have tutors).

Top 10 Reprints

I separated these cards thinking about cards relevant to the format and cards that haven't been reprinted in a long time, or never had a reprint.

10 - Mystic Remora

This is Remora's first booster reprint, and to improve it, it comes in 3 different versions, which boosts the price drop.

It's a very hated card by those who don't use it, and it's often played competitively because it can give you plenty of draws, depending on the opponents.

9 - Test of Endurance

Released on Judgment, this card only had the official print in booster, and therefore its price is higher than it should be.

This enchantment is an nice alternate wincondition for life gain decks to end the game. The problem is keeping the enchantment on the board, but it's definitely not difficult to reach 50 life in Commander!

8 - Entomb

Loading icon

The best graveyard tutor. It's excellent for reanimate strategies and in a well-built deck, it's not difficult to play an Entomb on turn 1 pass and reanimate the creature on turn 2.

It is played in constructed formats, mainly in Legacy. You can prepare a creature to be reanimated at any time, and for just one mana, it's pretty strong.

7 - Sneak Attack

Loading icon

This card is fun, reminding me of Timmy, Power Gamer, but red. You can put any creature on the battlefield for one mana, but it leaves as quickly as it entered, nothing more characteristic of a card names Sneak Attack.

If you need to play a bomb for little mana, just to kill an opponent, this is the card — and its price should drop due to the reprint.

If your deck doesn't have access to green, and you want to play a creature you can't cast, this is the card you're looking for! Just be careful because if you don't finish the game, your opponents might want to finish you on the way back.

6 - Exploration

If your deck is based on landfall, this is definitely one of the best cards for it, especially if it's Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait or Tatyova, Benthic Druid that reward you with a draw when you play lands. If you have a good number of lands on the list, it's very likely that you'll go down two lands each turn - that's not counting other possible means to rap, it won't be difficult to have 10 mana on turn 5.

The new illustration is also excellent! I don't know which players will prefer, but I'm considering replacing mine with this one.

5 - Sylvan Library

This card opens discussions. The cost to draw is high, but depending on the deck, it's not necessary, with the low cost of the enchantment and a good density of shuffle effects, you don't necessarily need to pay life - you can just take the best card and then use a shuffle effect.

It's the type of card I like to use and even though it was released in Commander Collection green, its price was already going up, and a reprint is welcome to keep it in line.

4 - Urza's Incubator

Loading icon

A great card to use in tribes that have numerous high-cost creatures, like Horrors and Eldrazi, but its price was too high.

It is excellent and manages to be a great acceleration for tribes, managing to facilitate the turns of these decks, but since it reduces two generic mana, it is not so simple to fit in any deck, since if you don't have a majority of creatures with generic mana in cost, this card won't be that good.

3 - Time Stretch

Loading icon

Extra turns demands a lot of monetary investment. Because its effect is so impactful, most of the extra turn cards are more expensive, with few exceptions, so it is important that they are reprinted.

Time Stretch is an overwhelming extra turn, giving you two just in case, but only had one reprint so far. It's good to see it here again!

2 - Yawgmoth, Thran Physician

Loading icon

Yawgmoth sees play in constructed formats and is a strong commander in budget formats such as Commander 500.

The card, like its rival (Urza), is quite overloaded, being a sac outlet, providing card purchase and being able to remove creatures, in addition to being able to be used with infect due to its ability to proliferate. It is a complete creature, and that had few of them on the market.

It will be released with 3 different versions.

1 - Urza, Lord High Artificer

Loading icon

This was the first released version of Urza. I know we recently had 4 others that came out in the same block, but this is the first Urza card and needed a reprint. His price is very high, and that makes it difficult for players to purchase a card from such an iconic and important figure of the game.

For this reason, Urza, Lord High Artificer is here in the first position: even being a recent release, it proved to be a very used card in constructed formats, and that added to its boosters being more expensive than normal, made this card quite steep for most players.

Its reprint with 3 new versions will help its price tag a bit and this deck will be more common in Commander. Who knows if we don't have an Edgar Markov reprint in the future, to make the price of one of the most popular and charismatic commanders in the format more affordable?

Conclusion

That's all for today, good week and good tables for you!
